Breath Journal

A note

I write every now and then about things I experienced, things I figured out, things that shaped me. To that I add pictures from when I used to walk around places in the world with a camera on my hand, capturing what I found to be moving.

If you enjoy this section and if it resonates with you get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.

The story of a racing mind and a frozen body

Have you ever noticed how busy your mind can feel while your body barely registers what’s happening?

You’re thinking ahead, planning, refining, solving. Everything looks fine from the outside. Work gets done. Life keeps moving. And yet, something feels off.

From low battery to full charge

Ever wonder why your energy crashes halfway through the day, even when you’ve slept well and eaten right?

It has to do with how we treat the body but it’s also about rhythm. When stress and shallow breathing keep cortisol high, the body forgets how to switch off.

Let your nervous system breathe

Our nervous system constantly balances between activation and rest as it is not meant to stay “on” all the time. Many of us however, find it hard to locate the “off” button. Chronic activation can feel productive, even addictive, but it eventually leads to fatigue, reactivity, poor sleep, and burnout.

The breath gives us a way out. A few minutes of conscious breathing can help the nervous system reset and gives us the ability to return where we need to be.

On Awareness

Awareness is a practice that opens the door to deeper self-understanding.
From tuning into how your body feels to sensing what emotions are present, awareness is your pathway to meeting yourself beneath the surface. What if two minutes of stillness a day became the springboard for reconnecting with you?
